The lucky teachers from Belgium scooped up an eight figure prize after entering the online National Lottery during their school trip to London.
The lucky teachers, who wished to remain partially anonymous, claimed a life-changing prize of £21,346,326.
They told the National Lottery that they had decided to play the lottery after having several unlucky experiences during their trip to London, which took place from March 15th to 17th: lost ID, stolen guitar, a student injured during a visit…
The teachers played the National Lottery through national-lottery.co.uk and have become one of over 6 million players to win each week in The National Lottery’s range of games.
They matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number, which were said to be chosen for their own sentimental reasons, in the National Lottery drawing on March 17th.
A National Lottery spokesman said: “Huge congratulations to our dear visitors for winning this fantastic prize without even touching a ticket.” After a few simple clicks, they can now look forward to living life mortgage-free. Nobody knows if they will finish the school year or if they will decide to take a very long holiday!”
“We first need to see if they find teachers to replace us”, one of the teachers, Mrs S, said.
