In a shocking turn of event, francophone tabloid newspaper "Le Journal de Montréal" has revealed proof that Alice Carvalho, brazilian artist and lead singer for Montréal rock band "Different Days" was actually born a man and had a sex change operation in early 2006.
Brazil is already known for its high amount of sex change operations, rivaling even Thailand and Nova Scotia. What is not known, however, is that it's not limited only to slums, homosexuals and prostitution rings. Over the years, there has been an increasing amount of sex change operations in the upper middle class and celebrities, most notably Ana Carolina Sousa, Eike Batista, Djalma Santos an now apparently the sweetheart of Fortaleza, Alice Carvalho
When reached for an interview, husband and Different Days guitarist Mathieu Cousineau commented "No, I had no idea! The plumbing looks fine down there. However I should mention that I don't have a ton of experience with that sort of equipment. Now that you mention it, it's true that her balls are a little on the hairy side."
Denis Martin, drummer and producer for the band was not as surprised with the announcement. He claims he always had his doubts. He told us "It takes ones to know one" with a wink.
When reached for comment, Mrs Carvalho swatted away our microphones with her giant hands and refused to comment as she hurried away, adam's apple bobbing up and down nervously.
One must wonder why such a high profile artist might refuse to discuss such a life changing decision. One might say that she doesn't have the balls.
