Steve Metcalf replaces Bruce Boudreau in Anaheim

In another surprise NHL news story today, The Ducks of Anaheim have bought out Bruce Boudreau's remaining contract and signed Steve Metcalf father of recent draft choice Garrett Metcalf to man the coaches spot in Anaheim. Metcalf's previous experience has been coaching the past years in Utah's youth hockey scene. He also played for Highland High school and spent many years grooming his game on the frozen pond in Sugar House Park.
He quickly named an assistantcoach Michael Bewley also of Salt Lake City.
It is hoped his fresh approach will motivate veteran Duck players.
Ryan Getzlaf said, " I was tired of playing for that short roly poly Bruce Boudreau. I have heard that Steve is a tall roly poly coach that I can look at eye to eye."
Steve has already said that Frederik Andersen will be backing up son Garrett regardless of Garrett's play during the coming season. More details will follow after the Metcalf family enjoy a one week personal tour of Disneyland.
