Paris Saint-Germain will battle it out with Spanish giants Real Madrid next summer to sign Didier Drogba, ex-star from Chelsea.
The mega-wealthy French club, who bought defender David Luiz from Chelsea in the summer of 2014, believe they can convince the 37 years old attacker to join the French Club.
PSG paid Chelsea just under £50million for Luiz, but it will take a substantial uplift - probably £80m or more - if they want Drogba to move on at the end of the season.
"I have numerous options on the table, but the most interesting is obviously the Real Madrid offer" said Drogba in an interview in Montreal, where he played his last season.
No matter the result, it is clear that the team that is going to sign Drogba will need to over-pay is market worth. Furthermore, not knowing how well the old attacker is going to perform, it is going to be a real gamble for the team who gets him.
